Course Description
A project portfolio is defined as a combination of projects or programs combined as a result of some strategic business objectives. Common terms used in conjunction with project portfolios are money and investment.
The field of project portfolio management is increasing in importance as the interrelations amongst multiple projects become the norm in a highly competitive global environment. Portfolios, as opposed to single projects or programs, have a return expectation over several projects serving different needs and are generally a precursor to the health of the company’s future.
This course provides real-life experience in handling real portfolios and evaluating them under different simulations. The project manager will greatly enhance his knowledge of the interconnections of projects, the prioritization of projects based on ROI, and other valuable tools that modern-day portfolio management software brings.
